Discover Our LegacyOur Story
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University — the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men. Its founding principles of scholarship, fellowship, good character, and the uplifting of humanity continue to guide every chapter.
The Alpha Zeta Lambda Chapter, established in 1927, carries that torch with distinction. For nearly a century, our brothers have been leaders in their communities, exemplifying excellence in scholarship, civic engagement, and brotherhood.
We are committed to the ongoing fight for social justice, education, and the advancement of our communities — honoring those who came before and inspiring those who will follow.
